MANILA, Philippines – The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) has resumed its normal maximum operating speed after addressing a signaling issue at the Santolan Station on Friday morning.

In an advisory, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said that the normal operating speed of 60 kilometers per hour has resumed at 10:28 a.m.

“A total of 20 trains are currently in operation: 17 three-car CKD trains, one four-car CKD train, and one Dalian train, to accommodate passengers,” the DOTr said.

Around 9:40 a.m. this Friday, the DOTr announced that a speed limit from Ortigas Station to Cubao Station (northbound) of MRT-3 was implemented due to a signaling issue reported at a wayside signal entering Santolan Station.

Technical personnel went on-site to conduct troubleshooting. /apl
