MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) has resumed its normal maximum speed after addressing a signaling issue at the Santolan Station in Pasig City on Friday morning.
In an advisory, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced that the MRT-3 returned to its 60-kilometer-per-hour operating speed at 10:28 a.m.
“A total of 20 trains are currently in operation: 17 three-car CKD trains, one four-car CKD train, and one Dalian train, to accommodate passengers,” the DOTr said.
Around 9:40 a.m. on Friday, the DOTr said that a speed limit from Ortigas Station to Cubao Station (northbound) of MRT-3 was being implemented due to a signaling issue reported at a wayside signal entering Santolan Station.
Technical personnel went on-site to troubleshoot. /apl/abc
