A fisherman aged in his 80s, who had been missing on Lough Corrib overnight, has been found safe and well.
The Irish Coast Guard has confirmed that the search and rescue operation had now been stood down.
A search operation had been launched around 11pm after the man - understood to be from the Claremorris area - failed to return home from a fishing trip yesterday.
He had set out from Golden Bay pier (between Corr na Móna and Cong), on a small craft to fish on the Corrib.
His wife reported him missing when he did not return home.
Rescue boats were joined by local fishermen and boaters from the Maigh Cuilinn area on the south side of the lake.
Several coastguard units, including helicopters Rescue 115 and Rescue 118, were deployed to the scene.
